The Motorola SURFboard SB5101 Cable Modem is next-generation modem technology that is built for both today and tomorrow. Equipped with a capacity for future Internet access provider system upgrades, it implements the most recent DOCSIS 2.0 technology, which is three times greater in upstream capacity than DOCSIS 1.0 or 1.1. That’s not to say it’s not compatible with DOCSIS 1.0 or 1.1. It can be utilized seamlessly with either.
